This paperweight is 5cm across and 3cm in height.
From my research I think it is a bohemian 19th century weight that was probably a drawer nob handle. The two patches of wear on the rear would support this as they look like the result of slight rotation.
Am I right though? All help appreciated.

I think that you are correct - My vote is Bohemian however I suspect that the marks on the underside occurred during production when the weight was taken from the pontil.
Experts will come along to check our work. ;)

Hi. I think it may be Silesian / Thuringian rather than Bohemian, but that is splitting hairs! Many people lump them together and call them 'Bohemian'. I agree that it was probably made as a paperweight rather than a knob or drawer pull.
As for date, I would suggest late 19th / early 20th century.
