Title: Skrdlovice Kangaroo Relative?
Post by: I love all Glass on September 30, 2013, 04:55:39 PM
Skrdlovice Kangaroo Relative?

A lovely vase, mainly a pale green aqua, with a salmon pink protuberance, is it Skrdlovice?, 7" tall by about 3 ½" at widest, a smaller relative to the Kangaroo maybe? Any ideas would be great. Many thanks  Simon

A lovely vase. It is Skrdlovice but 1950's Skrdlovice can be hard to attribute exactly. It is from around the same time as the Kangaroo vase but they produced a lot of glass designs during this time and other designers than Veliskova, such as the Beraneks, did make similarly wonderful designs. There is a similar design by Bohuslav Beranek to this one but it would take time to be sure of a precise attribution.

A great piece, I love the colours.

Hi Simon, that's a great vase... it's so exciting to see a 'new' piece of Skrdlovice! Lucky fellow.  :)
