Title: Cut and moulded Art Deco vase ?Webb ?Stuart
Post by: Joscyn on October 01, 2013, 08:06:44 PM
Dear all,
I hope someone will recognise this which I couldn't find anything about.  It is heavy and is 7 1/4 inches high x 5 1/4 inches diameter.  I think it is British.
Yours sincerely,
Ian

A bit left field, but I suggest you look at Luxval crystal (a Val St Lambert product) from Belgium.

I once had an Eda vase that looked very similar

Also Ian, when you supply photos it is smart to include a clear shot of the base, as it may eliminate several possibilities.  That is it often clarifies who could not have made the item.

Having looked at Valsaint, I think they were marked on the bottom?  Here is the bottom of mine.
Thanks for your interest and help.

I had forgotten my Luxval has a raised mark 'VSL Belgium' and the base is "dished".  It was really the colour and the vertical grouping of the decoration that caught the eye.

Not all Luxval items carry a signature, sometimes they'd worn out in the mould but can still be identified via catalogues.
I don't know what make this vase is but it is definately not VSL-Luxval,  i can see why Luxval came up, as it looks a little like the 'Ronald' vase.
