Title: "A" Signature Cane Identification?

Recently purchased this one at an online auction, I have not been able to identify via signature cane. Any help with identification would be greatly appreciated.

The design looks like a Perthshire PP10, but the PP10 was unsigned and had a star cut base.  The 1969 Perthshire PP14 had a A date cane in the center but all the PP14s were on a clear ground and faceted.

Hi.  I agree with Allan that it looks like a Perthshire PP10, other than the Perthshire A cane at the centre. That could be an accident, of course, that got in there without the person doing the set-up noticing, especially if they were preparing other set-ups at the same time that used the A cane.

I agree with Alan.   Not sure of exact dates, but PP10 was an early weight, as was PP14.  PP14 was a weight issued each year with a different letter cane to denote the year (for example 1969 = A, 1970 = B.  once can imagine a scenario where they have finished the 1969 issue - it is now 1970, there is a rod of the A cane left, and they need a single white cane for the centre of the PP10.
