Title: ID Problem
Post by: Roger H on October 14, 2013, 02:04:34 PM
Hi all, bought this recently but cannot identify it happily. Its a 4 fingered sweet dish with the widest distance being 8.30 inches. The millefiori shown are 3 inches in diameter.
The first glance said 1979-80 strathearn, then I thought of murano but I still keep coming back to scottish canes.
What do you think?   Regards Roger.

Thanks Kev, its good to have verification of a probable. I will be selling it later on so attribution is very useful.

No I cannot see a cane anywhere, that was one of the uncertainties of attribution.  I have seen one of these dishes locally with an "S" cane but with older type canes in it than mine.
           Regards Roger

Hi.

I have had several of these late Strathearn concentric paperweights, and maybe only half had a signature / date cane - the others were anonymous.
