Title: uranium glass decanter or vase any help would be greatful
Post by: stew2u2 on October 16, 2013, 08:05:34 PM
acquired this bit of uranium glass. when i received it it had a clear glass stopper but i think it might be a vase without a silver lip.
it has to be the most reflective uranium i have seen it even tries to glow in daylight. it is very heavy. what puts me off from it having a silver lip is there is no edge inside. any help with age or even maker. not pressed glass no mold lines

hi pete
if it had a silver top would it not have a lip on the inside so that the silver would not protrude . this has no lip only on the outside

That sounds plausible. I will let you know if I see anything.

The rim shape is standard for having a silver rim - outside lip. The silver only goes to the edge of the rim not over to the inside
