I need to state upfront that I don’t know anything about Italian glass but lately I have been drawn to the style of glass – this being my first piece. I am calling it my study piece.
I just posted it to another group and an attribution was made so I decided to post it here to get a “second opinion”. Just to be clear I am not holding out for this to be something it is not. In other words I am fine with whatever the attribution is but my hope is through whatever discussion that follows I will learn something.
The piece stands just a touch over 4”.
Supplement question – can you recommend a book or site that would help in the identification of this style of Italian glass?

My best guess would be Fratelli Toso, 1900-1914, based on the style of canes (murrine). But I cannot give an exact match to the canes so it is only a best guess.
The only book I have which showing a few examples of this type of work is: Venetian Glass, Confections In Glass 1855-1914 text by Sheldon Barr.
