can't find the original thread for this, anyway i complained to ebay about the seller and they said in short " it's not up to us to find out if there fake or not"
so i sent an email to Baccarat there reply was
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your message and your interest in Baccarat.
Thank you very much for your comments. The only way of being sure you are
getting a genuine Baccarat item is to buy it from one of our boutique or in
our retailers. Items sold outside these sales outlets can only be
counterfeit.
We remain at your disposal if you need any further information.
Best regards,
Emilie Le Minier

That's an odd attitude, given the litigious nature of most other companies with fakes. :?

Nah, I got exactly the same response from Hermes when I reported a seller of fake scarves on ebay

It takes an army of staff to police eBay, I think I read somewhere how many people did it full-time. As we know persuading eBay to do anything other than increase their charges or introduce technical mods that block half the buyers, takes a nuclear attack or a personal request from Ronald Reagan or whatever he is called now.

Could someone provide the seller's id or a link to one of his/her listings? I'd be really curious to investigate whether it's the same jerk who claimed I sold him a fake Baccarat!
