wondering why I couldn't have just stuck to keeping a photograph of it.

thanks :)

Question is, do these vases look close enough to the vases in the book listed as Davis Greathead and Green pair of vases?  I think they're on page 140 something, can't quite remember.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scarce-Pr-Glass-Vases-Davis-Greathead-Green-Great-Exhibition-1851-Darius-I-/111144019870?nma=true&si=e447Of30ZdzIJI0EiiWjsE6X0jE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I'm just wondering if they are identical shape or decoration or something?
I've found a pair online at the museum and think they are the same as the ones in the book but can't remember.
The other question is, how did they know they were Davis Greathead and Green - is there an image of the vases at the great exhibition pictured in the book please?
Thanks again.

Very similar to the colour plate on p.137 and on p.141 is an illustration from the Exhib' catalogue showing three vases, one in particular also of very similar decoration, same shape, attributed to Davis,Greathead & Green, ;D ;D

are the other two vases in the great exh pic very different then?
Sorry.  Knew I'd need the book as soon as I'd taken it back - need my own copy to arrive asap.

One slightly shorter the other, also shorter has a more flared rim and is a more classic baluster shape, ;D
