Post by: Maaike on November 03, 2013, 10:34:10 PM
Hello, my name is Maaike and I hope someone can help me to identify my vase.
I cannot find the vase on the internet, so I hope someone knows more about this vase.

Thank you very much for your help.

greetings from Holland!

Hi and welcome, It looks very modern to me, however, have been know to be wrong.  Not seen one where the knobbly effect starts lower down the rim opening.  Hopefully an id is not too far away.   Good luck!

the colour could possibly be suggesting Scandinavian, although I don't see anything similar in Pina or Geary, unfortunately.         Has someone put a watermark on the lower picture, or is that a label - I can't read the wording.         What does it say please?

Welcome to the GMB Maaike, and thanks for the greeting from the land of bulbs :)

Looking at the extremely columnar effect of the knobs I would suggest you consider Japan as a possible maker.

Thank you all for your reactions.
At the bottom is a sticker: This item is handmade. It has the characteristics and the uniqueness of mouth blown glass. Small veriations cannot be seen as defects.

with kind regards,

Maaike
