Title: Need some help with ID millefiori
Post by: BobKegeles on November 04, 2013, 10:39:09 PM
I found a great box of millefiori weights at an estate sale, 20 of them, and I was lucky enough to pay $100 usd, (63 pounds approx.). All in great condition (though the Strathearn is a bit ragged).

There were 10 PMcD, 3 Murano, a large Perthshire, a mini Strathearn, 3 Deacons, and two I cannot identify.

This is one of them, it's 3" wide and 2" high.

The center cane has a black spot, would you think it's just a sloppy center? or a fault?

Any help is always appreciated.

Very likely Vasart Ltd (1956 - 1964).

My reasoning being:
Canes proud of the ground.
Good, but slightly untidy setting of canes.
Base finishing.

And yes, the centre cane just happens to be a bit sloppy (movement during the forming of the weight).
