Title: G Puccini Signed Murano Glass?

Hi everyone!
I just received a very large seashell piece (18" x 11") that I thought was by Fratelli Toso, and to my surprised I looked at the underside and it is signed G. Puccini (looks like a G). I did a search for the name and only came up with 1 other piece signed Murano Puccini, dated '48.
Anyone know about this artist? did he infact work with Toso?
Everything else on the searches seem to be about Puccini’s Opera, composer Giacomo Puccini (1858–1924), etc.
I am very curious to see if it relates at all to the composer, or if the makers name just happens to be the G. Puccini too.
I just got the bowl, so I havent had time to photograph it or the signature.
I'll put those up soon!

Stumped me on this one Javier, I've checked out 11 possible makers and not a Puccini listed on the staff of any of them.

Both your shell and the piece Della found have a Barbini look about them, might be worth a bit of a look down that avenue.

I've also checked many of my books, and not 1 reference to Puccini.

about the Italian store idea... that could be, but I would imagine that a store or gallery would mark their pieces with a logo, like the paperweight figures I posted some time ago that had the Fleur-de-lys mark on them. This one is engraved and has a first initial, a cursive "G" I think. Dont think its an "S". Also the signature is pretty large at 2" long.

I have come across engraved retailers marks on glass from Victorian to modern. I agree that mostly they go for labels, but some do like it factory marked with their name.

Your paperweight recently got moved into Paperweights, I think.

I've had very similar bowls with Formia labels. I would suggest checking with them.
