Title: Surface Decorated Two Handles Amphora
Post by: zidori on November 09, 2013, 04:51:20 PM
I came across this piece of glass recently and have no clue as to its maker or origin. It is 7 inches tall and is surface decorated. Can anyone please help me identify this piece. Thank you.

I would guess Italian, probably from Murano.  If its surface is treated to make it seem 'old', say from Roman era, it may be by Cozeta who seemed to specialize in that type of finish.

Thank you for the in formation. I got it along with some Italian pottery so that would appear to tie in beautifully - and yes, the surface decoration does indeed make it seem to be a very old piece.
