At first glance this looks like a very ordinary glass fish, but when I looked closer there are all these twisting interwoven bands of grey glass with lots of tiny bubbles underneath the clear casing. The small bubble 'feature' in the base is also new to me. The base is polished flat. The tip of its tail has a purplish tinge. It stands approx 11" high.
I have searched the Glass Message Board, and googled and ebayed hundreds of fish images without finding anything similar so I'm hoping that someone in this community will be able to enlighten me with an idea of who might have made it, and what the correct terms for this style of glass making are.
Many thanks, Iain

Gentle bump....
And I wonder if some kind administrator would be willing to look and see if the title could be tweaked to acknowledge the twisting, interweaving on this (what I now see is a) dolphin, which is what I'm keen to discover more about. There surely must be a lovely Italian word to describe it......
Many thanks, Iain
