Title: Webb,Val St Lambert and ? liqueur glasses
Post by: bat20 on November 11, 2013, 10:28:38 AM
Hi all,i picked these up recently thinking they were all VSL glasses having only looked at one closely and seen the acid etched mark, VSL Belgique,in the reference i looked up that should have been paper starting in 1930,i was then surprised to find on two others the 1935 acid etched, made in England Webb sig, on the last nada. They are all the same height and design with slight differences,my guess is the VSL's are the originals to the set and as they broke they were replaced with Webbs,so who is copying who,or did everyone just copy everyone else?,they all have a good ring with the VSL's having the highest pitch, any thoughts?many thanks.
PS the order is the 2 VSL on the right, then 2 webbs, unidentified far left.

oops, the VSL round paper label started in the 1920's,still can't find the acid etched round stamp,so there could be a 15 year difference in the age of te glasses?
