:D  :D
Surely that's not Carnival - it looks more lustre!
But it does look a bit Chancey!

Is it Carnival? Could be. Carnival is lustre glass too - depends on your definition. Here's the definition I prefer (I am quoting from my thread "Is it Carnival or is it iridised Art Glass?"
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,2788.0.html
Carnival Glass is iridised (press) moulded glass, featuring a pattern.
I have deliberately placed the press of press moulded in parenthesis. Some Carnival may be blown into the mould (this is the case for some bulbous articles). But the glass must be moulded - must be iridised - and should have some sort of pattern. That is the intrinsic definition for Carnival.
Ivo, your piece appears to be moulded and is certainly iridised. Is there any pattern or is it totally smooth/plain?

it is completely plain, no trace of a pattern, same as all glass made by the USBent glass/ Chance/ Flamingo school. Of course it could be Leinauer Pfauenauge, it has that sheen, but wasn't that considered OTT fringe carnival?
-
LGW does fall into a Carnival category - but then the pieces so far seen have all had very strong patterns. Is the base glass clear? That could indicate LGW.
It's a kinda border-line Carnival Glass piece really. And very nice too!

I think it's my command of english failing me Glen, Of course Carnival is lustre! This is a bit different though - it's heavier-looking, though I know you can get very heavily covered Carnival. It's almost shinier than Carnival, but in the sense of being polished smoother.
(I know what I mean....)

Forgive me in advance, pleeeeeeez, Sue. But Carnival can have all sorts of iridescent effects.....heavy, rich, smooth, crinkly, radium, silvery, light, thick, stretchy and so on. It can be "polished" and it can be "rough" to the touch.

If it is Chance would it not be slump not pressed?

:D:D:D
Glen, I'll forgive you anything!
I'll put a post it on my screen:- "ensure brain is in gear before posting"
I think Frank has hit the nail on the head - the finish is of slumped, not pressed, glass. (IGMC  )

 Sue
But heck, if I put a post-it on my screen saying "ensure brain is in gear before posting" I would never post!

David and I looked at a set of these on eBay recently
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7410192892 and we agreed they are not Chance. They are quite small - 6cm (approx 2.5") as well. We have no idea as yet who made them as the boxed set above on eBay has no indication of maker.

Looking at the four dishes in the eBay auction makes me think more along the lines of LGW's Pfauenauge and Kaleidoskop again. And of course, if they were LGW pieces they would have been made by another glass company and then iridised (as blanks) by LGW (Leinauer Glaswaren in Bavaria).
For info on LGW

Shame we can't see the design on the box!
LGW (brain not in gear reads Lustre Glass Ware).
I may be some time........

LGW (Leinauer Glaswaren in Bavaria)
It's Leinauer GlasWaren. You can read about them in the article I wrote via that url I gave.
In essence, the maker of the glass is not the same firm as the iridiser of the glass. LGW bought in blanks from other companies and iridised the items. I bought a gorgeous vase a few weeks ago which is LGW iridised on what is possibly a Cristal d'Arques "blank". I'll try and get a photo sometime (I'm a bit rushed today).
