Dear list (or just Ivo!),
I wonder if this satin glass bowl is Israeli / Hebron? It has a painted mark rather like an "XW" vertically on the foot as part of the design. I thought it was something Art Nouveau until I looked at some Israeli/Hebron glass.
Ivo? Anyone?

I would say, probably Ilanit glass from Israel - but on an Italian or French blank. Also could be Nahariya - the links are a bit confusing and there are several producers using the same process.
If the acid stain is high gloss then you're more likely looking at something Romanian.
Hebron glass is properly made by skilful glassblowers - these are factory blanks. So no Hebron...
hope this helps.

Ivo,
Erudite as ever! The stain is quite matte so I will look up Ilanit and Nahariya.
Thanks.
