I picked this piece up several days ago, and exhausted my novice resources trying to figure out the mark.
Please help me. ;D

Hello, is this really that unusual or is it just too boring a piece. Please anyone, help me. ???

Hi Kirk and welcome to the board :)
The board is very quiet at the moment unfortunately but hopefully someone will recognise the symbol mark on your vase.
Your vase isn't boring, it's very stylish. I like it a lot but can't think where to start on the mark. It does remind me of some Scandinavian pieces in style and heft with the thick clear casing, particularly Anna Ehrner for Kosta Boda, but I'm sure it isn't that.
As I say, hopefully someone will be along who recognises that three U symbol mark. But... sometimes it can take years for something to suddenly be identified :) so keep checking your emails just in case.

You know, the more I look at it, it looks like either a "W" or a geometric design.

yes it's a bit weird like an Escher painting. Is the symbol encircled by a raised circle of glass as well?

It looks like an imprint that someone makes on a letter when they seal it with wax. It seems like the maker added a glob of glass, then imprinted his mark. Do you need better photos or do you think what I have provided is good enough.
Thanks, Kirk

No, they are good and the description is fine.
You just need someone to recognise the mark now :)

Have no idea but going to throw some ideas out there:
~ Could be a Double U
~ Could be just a W
~ Could be a UW
~ Could be a WU
~ Could even be a upside down double N (n) maybe..................IMHO
Leaves it open to do some hunting on it

Thanks Rose,
I will try those combinations, and see what I get.
