Title: ID Help? Looks like Holmegaard Canada, but...
Post by: Loregon on November 24, 2013, 08:19:20 PM
They're Cobalt Blue in color, and have a ringed pattern on their bases.  The quality is excellent, hand-blown, ground rim.  I don't see that Holmegaard did Canada in Cobalt Blue, and the ringed base isn't right either.  Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the board.

How tall are they?

I would punt on their being Polish.  Krosno often had bases similar to yours and sometimes had a bubble above the deep indent.

They stand 8" tall (20.5 cm).

That is quite a bit bigger than the largest size documented: http://www.hardernet.dk/Stemware/Canada_Smoke-Per_Lutken_HG_1955-1990_2007.htm

Perhaps designed as a vase rather than a drinking glass, from memory I think the rims should be fire polished rather than ground.
