Hi all,not Roman, but designed by someone influenced by the style i would guess, about 18cm high with good wear on the corners it rests on,no wear at all to the rim where you would have thought a stopper would be,but was worked on so maybe had a cork, you could see this fitting in at Ikea and what's wrong with that, it was the large polished pontil that pushed me to get it,any thoughts many thanks..

I've been on the Wf's site and from what i can make out it was designed by Harry Powell in 1938,No2091,interestingly i think it started with no handle and was 7"tall then becoming 8"tall with handle in 1940, mine is 7.25 " to the top of the handle and 7"to the top of the lip,i'm not sure what measurement point they would have used or wether handles varied that much in height?

::) Or maybe to top of the stopper ::)

They varied a lot over the years and many have lost the stoppers I have the old Sky blue with no stopper also a couple of amber a couple of sea green and the old brown colour most with handles but a couple without , one pictured in the book has no stopper the size varies as well as they were hand made , a couple of years ago they would go for £150 /£200 . yup .
