Hello,
Unfortunately this piece has several flaws annealing fractures and what not but interesting non-the-less. It is roughly 2-3/4" diameter and 1-1/2" tall, set on a white ground and is unsigned.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Eric

I know nothing about paperweights, but it reminds me of my Ferro and Lazzarini weight, and reminds me also of the one on this thread

What do you mean by annealing cracks please? are they just not visible in your photographs?

I'm an ignoramus about pwts, but this has a bit of a contemporary Chinese look to it, to me. ???

Sue, I agree - the one Daveweights posted also reminded me of those little Chinese birds, something about the face/head of the bird. This one does look different to the one Daveweight posted though, the berries aren't quite as round etc.
But the way the base is polished flat and applied also reminded me of my Ferro and Lazzarini weights and another Murano fish that I had.
As I said, I know nothing about paperweights though
I just thought I'd link the previous post to show a similar weight, but I'll slink off now and be quiet ;D

As much as anything its the leaves to me that look contemporary Chinese - they look just like the sort of heavy walled Graal-like vases and plates - and the colours are the same.
