I recently bought the two glasses shown. I think they are German from about 1800 - anyone know/think differently. They are very much like some other plain glass, gilded and faceted glasses a got a month or so ago. No pontil mark but someone explained why that is te case based on their mode of manufacture. The bowl rims have been ground and gilded when the glasses were manufactured. The foot rim is ever so slightly stepped (not ground or polished).
They look identical but one is ever so slightly larger than the other. But what is intriguing is that the bowl of the larger one has 11 sides whilst the bowl of the smaller has 12 sides.

please can we see a clear photo of the base of the glasses for future reference?
Many thanks

Hi ,
I see these variously described as German, Bohemian etc , my thoughts are along these lines though
