As the Murano board is not very busy atm, I am posting today's purchases :)
Lovely "Tutti Frutti" cockatoo, body filled with scrambled canes and latticino, the comb, beak and feet are clear glass with gold foil, the stand is internally decorated with silver foil.
Height 28 cm.
As far as I know these are usually attributed to AVeM?
Thanks,
Michael

Looks like a good bet, Anita has two birds in her Zoo that are made in the same style attributed to Avem (2nd on page 2): https://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/birds-3

I checked my files and couldn't find one just like it, but I did find a few that had cane work and a base like yours. They were AVeM. The eyes are different than most AVeM eyes, but that would be a simple variation. I would say AVeM, too.

Thanks a lot Anita and John!
Animals with this style of cane work seem to be always attributed to AVeM, but better check twice.
I also found a nice whale on Anita's site (https://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/mammals-10 (https://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/mammals-10)), and a duck on the moltabellaglass site >> Link (http://www.moltabellaglass.com/items/766304/item766304store.html)
Interesting that the scramble does look very similar to the Tutti Frutti AVeM bowls and vases, but there are never any Murrhine found in the animals...
BTW, I love the eyes of my bird, makes it look much more lively :)
