I am totally clueless about this vase -- origin, maker, age...
It is opaque (very bright) red cased in clear, and the landscape is embedded in the iridescent finish (=left blank when the piece was iridized, sort of a "Cameo" effect).
The landscape shows a sunset, some trees, mountains, and birds in the sky.
It is quite hard to see, and even harder to capture in a photograph.
15 cm high, mould-blown, rim polished and bevelled.
With my limited knowledge I would guess Bohemian and "old", but I may be awfully wrong ;D
Searching for similar pieces didn't really bring up much, but maybe only because I don't really know how to call this technique...
Any input highly appreciated...
Thanks!
Michael
