Title: Possible Walsh primrose ?

3 inches high with large polished pontil mark,that refused to be photographed !  ::) similar shapes on p 125 of 20th CBG, ;D

I would say so. The shade of primrose looks good (Webb is more yellow);  my known Walsh Primrose has large pontil marks (though Bernard says that's not a given); and you have found similar shapes.
