Post by: brucebanner on December 23, 2013, 03:44:51 PM
Hello can anyone help me id this glass please, it feels like a piece of whitefriars but i can not find a comparison, it's 4 inches in height 3 1/4 inches across the rim and 2 3/4 inches across the base. regards Chris.

Chris - you don't say whether you've looked on the 'Whitefriars.com' site  -  but if you haven't, then here's the link, from which you can access the catalogues.................            http://whitefriars.com/
Of course, if you have already looked then just disregard. :)

Yes i did start looking at the Whitefriars site, i've got a set of whitefriars glacier whiskey glasses and they have the same feel and texture as this glass, i think it's pretty old looking at the age wear to the base and made from crystal glass, perhaps it will remain a mystery thanks guys.

The safety rim makes me think they are machine-made factory production. I'm sure we've seen these before but can't remember where.
