This vase stands193 mm tall and 85 mm dia. It has wear to the base but no signature.
It has the feel of a decent hand crafted vase.It is actually pinker than shows in these quickly taken pictures.
Any thoughts to help me with my research?
Thank you.

The colour and pattern is reminiscent of Isle of Wight?

Similar to the Stuart Strathearn 'impressions' range, although the base has a different finish, ;D

Phoenician possibly I think

Thanks for the swift replies.
Chris, i did see a similar way of finishing the side to the base on i.o.w images.
Keith, your image seems very close.I am underknowledged as to stuart strathearn,is this part of stuart glass or strathearn glass.
Christine,it may well turn out to be Maltese but what a minfield.
thanks again.

Stuart Strathearn tended to be unground on the base. So the flat grinding is more IOW in my opinion. See photos of a STuart Strathearn vase below

It is hard to tell from the pics shown, but I reckon if it's pink all the way to the top, it's more likely to be IoWSG Summer Fruits than Iestyn Davies' version of something very, very similar at Stuart Strathearn - Impressions, (which he did following his time at IoWSG), which tends to have a lot of white in it.
Stuart Strathearn is more connected to Ysart Glass and it's heritage than it is to Stuart Crystal, really.
Perhaps not financially, but certainly in design.

Frank's Ysart Glass site has info on Strathearn / Stuart Strathearn (http://www.ysartglass.com/Strathearn/Strathearn.htm)
Within that info, is stated: In 1980 Strathearn Glass had been taken over by Stuart and Sons of Stourbridge, and renamed Stuart Strathearn.

They did continue with coloured glasswares as Stuart Strathearn (thus in keeping with Ysart) as well as clear and cut stuff.
I'm a lot less knowledgeable about Stuart itself though, given that's mostly clear and cut.

Thanks to everybody for the responce,I have not had time to upload some better pictures but hope to do so tomorrow.
The pink in the body runs out to nearly clear at the top.
Does anybody know what the signature policy was for i.o.w. s.g.
The base has been nicely flattened but still shows a small witness of the pontil mark. Thanks for clearing up the stuart strahearn question for me.
Thanks again.

Summer Fruits is a very long running range. It started in '93and was on the go until the studio closed last year. I would think your pink is Cranberry. Some of the other colours were not produced for so long.
These, being part of a regular range, are not signed, but would have had a label.
I'm confident your vase is IoWSG, Summer Fruits, Cranberry. :)
