Title: ID help - Scottish weight
Post by: LesBeatiques on December 28, 2013, 04:23:52 PM
Hello all,

These Scottish weights are so confusing to me.  I don't believe it to be perthshire, I'm 80% sure it's Strathearn and 20% something else.

The weight has a concave fire polished base, roughly 2-1/2" diameter and 1-3/4 tall.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

Good site for Strathearn and Vasart paperweights: http://strathearn.smugmug.com/

Hi.  Given the varying spokes, I would go for late Vasart rather than early Strathearn, but it is not easy to distinguish between the two.
