Title: Decanter Date Please.

Morning all 8),this decanter has alot of wear to the base and i'm sure hand cut,it has that grey tone with some stones ,but very few air bubbles,the base is pushed up a bit and star cut, i'm not sure about the stopper although i have seen very similar decanters with the same one on the intoe.Lastly it's very clean,no staining,any thoughts?many thanks and a happy new year. 8) 8)

Hi, it looks like a hand-cut cylinder decanter from about 1840 to me.  Are the neck rings hand applied?  The glass was trailed onto the neck to form the neck ring and there should be what looks like a flaw where the trail joined up to make the ring.
