Title: Millefiori Butterfly paperweight - Perthshire / Jay Glass ??

Hi

I picked up this miniature paperweight yesterday & have identified it as possibly being by John Deacon (J Glass era ?)

It is 5cm diameter x 4 cm high clear & transparent green. There is a signature on the cane visible on the base (which is polished flat) - but it isn't the J cane I would have expected to see - is this by him at Perthshire Paperweights ?

Any help on confirming any of the above would be greatly appreciated !

Hi Rob,
           according to the book "Paperweight Signature Canes" by Andrew Dohan on pages 83 and 84, that date and signature cane is standard J Glass by John Deacons. It was after his time at Perthshire and before his solo work with a JD signature. The bottom photo shows it reversed of course.

Hi Rob, 
             Yes. J glass produced from 1979 to 1983 for certain and, according to Andrew Dohan, there may possibly be some items with a 1978 date. Your cane ( on a very nice weight) is 1979 with a central J.

Lovely - thank you very much for all your help ! - I am still learning (fast !) on paperweights !
