Hi, I am unable to find any information about this piece. It may not be a vase after all, tbh I have no idea. There is no flat surface on the bulb of the vase itself. So basically, it just lies flat on it's side. The dia. of the bulb is approx. 5.3 cm dia. The surface of the bulb is not smooth and the mottled design can be felt all over. Even the areas that are stretched towards the neck. The overall height of the vase, is approx. 15.7cm. My initial thoughts and searches were that it maybe Murano. Can anyone provide any information about this piece including it's origin?

What you have there is a watering device. You fill the bulb with water and then plunge the thin end into soil so the water is delivered to the roots. If the soil is fairly dense the water may take some days to drain out and so you put plant or precious other plant survives very hot weather. The ones we bought were very similar and I assumed they came from East Asia somewhere.
