It's lovely Keith - I seem to have a "thing" about cylinder shaped vases. And I lurve the little squat pot.
You don't need any excuse - because you DO care - about getting on top of what was going on, what was being made and what variations there are.
You are being a researcher, in a field nobody's researched before. It's wonderful!

Thanks Sue, ;D have made a little progress in putting names to a couple of RB'y designs, apart from the original from Isle of Wight.
First picture I believe was designed by Gywnneth Newland,a glass and ceramic artist, who seems to have disappeared and..
second is a 'Clare' vase by Clare Lee who worked for Royal Brierley and Dartington and has her own website, still waiting to confirm this.
Three months and two names apart from the Jill Devine 'Foundry' pieces, ::) ;D ;D

Have you any idea how long I was collecting Mdina, before I even discovered the name of Michael Harris?

good job you're not closer to me - or you'd be ducking the paper aeroplanes I'd be chucking at you for that!  ;)

love the squat pot - I think that's a fairly unusual shape.
Keith there was a royal blue on on our favourite auction site - did you see it?
If not I'll try and find it for you - bowling pin shape, early shape.

Wasn't that cheap but I thought a very unusual colour - the blue is normally incredibly dark and this is very bright royal blue - signed/marked rather, as well :)
