This bowl is to my eye, one of the most beautifully made pieces of glass I own.
I've no idea how it was done, but the colours are fantastic. Wherever I put it, it glows like a beacon.
The foot is a brown with a red tint, the exterior is midnight blue with an even darker couple of inches of blue around the top, the interior is a mirrored deep bright blue and then the rim appears yellowish/cream but it's not applied, it's somehow the middle of the where the dark blue and the mirrored bright blue meet at the top - i.e. appears in the glass rather than being applied at the end. I think it was blown with the interior then the top two inches cased in the creamy yellow then the whole cased in the midnight blue, then the foot drawn and cased in the reddish brown ... I think... :-\
It's signed but I know anyway as it was bought from the maker.

yes, recent few years, English studio but it's very different to anything I've seen before from the maker. There is one clue in it though.

The colours you are describing are silver chloride effects (or perhaps silver nitrate) the'ts what is giving you the yellows and silvery mirrory bluey bits. Beautifully controlled!
My guts think Will Shapespeare too.
But there's not much that is beyond Allister Malcolm either; the base looks more Shaks than Malcolm though.

The silver ions reacting with the hot glass give you the yellow colour. The blues and mirrory bits come from silver itself, ionic, not reacted. The blues from silver molecules/particles suspended in the metal (they form a gas in the heat) the mirrory bits from silver that has deposited on the suface.
The heat first melts the crystals when they are applied to the hot surface of the metal, but it will depend on the exact temperature at each point in the vessel, what happens chemically after that.
