Hi anyone able to date identify tell me about this vase? kindests
-
Hello,1950'60's I believe,Rumanian possibly,got a few myself, ;D
-
I picked one of these up advertised as Stourbridge glass, then found another at a car boot, if you google it then you will find a couple advertised as Stourbridge glass, however, i have to agree with keith i have seen far to many since to believe it to be Stourbridge and own two, so if Keith has two and i have two and you own one how many more were made, I'm thinking China 60's mass produced when i look at mine. still any hand blown glass in my eyes is beautiful. I might be completely off track by the way. regards Chris.

Romania (along with most of the large "Murano" fish and a fair number of "Murano" baskets) - not China. The dullish colours are a good clue
-
Both mine are bright blue, one is Bristol blue, same shape almost identical, nothing dull about them at all. If there not in storage i'll put a pick up.
-
Actually got about 4-5 of these, thought they were victorian :o that was many moons ago, ::) ;D ;D
-
It's like a confessional, next there will be a picture of the chinese vases with the flowers on the front always described as murano. i think i have one in the loft i'll put a pick on later unless someone beats me to it.

Mine went back to a charity shop for the next new glass collector to learn from... ;)

Any colour other than blue is generally a dullish shade
