Here is what I believe to be an Eclipse bowl in soot colour - it's 8.5 inches long and one rim is narrower than the other, it has a fine polished base with remains of a sticker which is unreadable but I believe is Caithness. Any comments welcomed.
Thanks

Looks right from here, size is good and according to page 50 Caithness Glass by Mark Hill they came in three shapes.
Never seen one before.

I don't believe I've ever seen one before either. Not a common beast at all.
Nice find! :)
I'd agree, Caithness. The lable looks as if it was right, once. ;)

I was bit vague earlier - three oval shapes it seems.

That is lovely Adam. I've never seen one before either. Well spotted.

Thanks - I spotted it in a charity shop - there is always a lot of Caithness here in Glasgow - I have had some lovely rare items over the years - at first I thought it was Scandinavian, but had an inkling it was Caithness, so I had a look in Mark Hills book when I got back home.

Lucky to find any Caithness here in Perth. I guess Perth in Scotland would be better! Just not as sunny 😊😊
