Title: Antique Bohemian? yellow & white enamelled spatter glass trinket set.
Post by: agincourt17 on January 25, 2014, 09:13:32 PM
A pretty glass trinket set comprising of tray, three lidded pots and perfume bottle with stopper., Made of yellow & white mottled / spatter glass, each piece beautifully decorated with enamelled Forget-Me-Not type flowers and gilt detailing. For an idea of size, the tray measures approx. 26cm x 20cm.

I suspect Bohemian, probably early 20th century, and possibly Moser. Can anyone confirm or correct my suspicions, please?

By the way, this recently sold for £128.89 on eBay.

Fred.

Bohemian, yes. Moser, maybe but IMHO unlikely, though others may disagree. 1890ish plus. The enamelling is pretty but not spectacular and there's an awful lot of lost gilding for the price. All those yellow bits should be gold. Genuine Moser seems to retain its gold

Thank you, Christine.

I too would have needed somewhat more retained gilding for the price, but each to their own.
