Title: Help identifying possible Scandinavian vase
Post by: Nosisu on January 27, 2014, 11:15:05 PM
Hi:  I've been unable to identify who made this approximately 6 inch vase.  It is very heavy, grey and unmarked with a polished base which shows some age.  It is semi-faceted with 3 circular cuts in a top row, 3 larger oval cuts in between and 2 smaller oval ones nearer the base.  These have been polished.  The rest of the exterior of the vase is somewhat textured or striated.  I tried to photograph this but couldn't get a useful picture.  Any help or info on this would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, welcome, you really need more photos up, preferably with a light source behind the piece and larger diameter images. Try making some with software like Irfanview. People are pretty helpful here, it looks a potentially identifiable piece of well made glass,

Thanks for the advice Robert.  Once I get better photos, I'll repost

You also need to resize high-res pics so that the longest dimension is about 700 pixels. That way you should have something small enough to upload and big enough to blow up when we click on it. The board creates the thumbnail
