This is another piece of glass i have been pondering over for a bit but come up blank, i've acquired this with a set of Habitat glasses that are modern, one still has a label "hand made in Spain" they have no wear at all even though there heavy for their size, however this is slightly different more bubbles slightly off center on the pedestal and 60 years of age wear to the base at least, thus i'm wondering if this is an original piece from the same designer that has got mixed up with these modern ones, i have included a picture of all of them together at the end please don't be cross.
It's 8 inches across the rim, 6 1/2 inches in height and 5 1/2 inches across the base.

If you know the others are all Habitat, I would say this one is too. There are too many similarities. It's just been used more and may even have been made in a different factory. Wear is only an aid to age. What do you mean by modern - still in production? Habitat has been around since 1964.

Perhaps i walked straight into that reply, it never occurred to me that Habitat was that old, I had assumed they had copied this from somewhere else, I'm pretty sure this is a 60's piece of glass, there is too much wear on it. I would imagine if Whitefriars was still going there would be the odd new drunken bricklayer, it would be nice to know the designer though.
