The rim on this feels like a piece of sklo union glass but i can not find it online can anyone put me right please. Plenty of wear on the base. 4 1/2 inches in height 6 inches across the waist.

Sklo Unio production was almost entirely pressed, not blown

Ok i have sold a few of the "olive" vases and bubble vases they had the same type of rim the same feel, i'm looking at Mark Hills exhibition he has got shelves of them, i'm a novice and no expert how can you tell this is blown and not moulded ?
-
Numerous manufacturers over many years, including today, have used the cut rim. A cut rim is often used when the item comes off the blowing iron or the punty rod from the top.
Mark doesn't say the Olive vases etc are Sklo Union. They are Borske Sklo, which wasn't part of the Sklo Union.
I also didn't say your vase wasn't moulded. It is; blow moulded but definitely not pressed. In general, something cannot be pressed if the top is narrower than the bottom because you can't pull the plunger out.

Thanks for that, that's why i'm here, to learn. I enjoy this site for that reason and i really need to get my hands on a copy of his book, the one on Amazon is stupid money.

Thanks Mel im watching this one already, i'll have a go but i'm working when the auction finishes, i'm bound to get out bid :P

Hi, there is no need to be present at the time that an eBay auction ends to bid. You can use a sniping engine such as Gixen - www.gixen.com - which will place your bid for you in the last second of an auction on eBay.
Best wishes
Neil
