Title: Water Lily epergne - Stevens and Williams / Walsh Walsh? ID = Walsh Walsh
Post by: flying free on February 13, 2014, 04:24:09 PM
I'm terribly sorry, but I have yet another query.
In The Crystal Years (R.S. Williams-Thomas) there is an epergne on page 25.  It has one large central flower and 4 surrounding flowers in striped opalescent with teadrops on them, and also two large green leaf shaped plates plus a bud.  All set on a silver coloured 'wiry/curvy' metal stand.

In Charles Hajdamach's 20th century British Glass on page 42 there appears a very similar epergne identified as Walsh Walsh.

It is too similar,i.e the same glass, to be not the same maker.

I think that is an error in The Crystal Years book.  I've just looked something else up in Gulliver's and the reg number is for Walsh Walsh 409769 I believe.
Could someone check, if they have the books please?  Thanks

When you can see the leaf clearly it's obvious - it's the classic Walsh Walsh tazza shape
