Title: heavy yellow vase
Post by: alicesroom on February 17, 2014, 09:39:08 PM
Hi - first time post, so please be gentle...

I have a number of pieces I've been trying unsuccessfully to identify. This first one feels to me like it should be straightforward, but I've made no progress with my reference books. Anyway, it is a very heavy yellow vase, essentially rectangular, but tapering towards the bottom - see photos

Any help gratefully received...

Welcome to the board. A little more information is always helpful: size, how it's made, lead crystal or not etc. The pictures tell us this is mould blown with a ground and polished base and rim. My wild guess would be Zelezny Brod Sklo (ZBS)

Thanks for that - will search some more.

Some of the details you mention, I wouldn't know! But the dimensions are 25 cm tall, ad 12x13 cm across the top, although that wouldn't be the widest point
