Title: Trinket set with tray base decorated with grid of interlocking triangles.
Post by: agincourt17 on February 21, 2014, 08:12:48 PM
A trinket set in pressed green uranium glass (which reacts well to UV light).

The tray measures approx 28cm x 19cm. It has two long, curved edges and two shorter, straight edges, and the base is decorated with an allover grid of interlocking triangles.

The squat candlestick has a bell-shaped stem/foot with two opposite sides decorated with a raised crest made up of conjoined geometric elements.

The  round lidded pots (one large and a pair smaller) have distinctive lid finials – square in section  but with the centre raised and joined to the corners (a bit like a square pagoda roof). The pot body sides and lids are decorated with a stylised, centrally-ribbed, dentate or lanceolate motif with the apex at the rim.

I can’t recall seeing a set in this pattern before. Comments, suggestions or attributions gratefully received.
