Hi all,i'm just starting to try to get my head around weights and i've had this one for a year or so, always having it down a Chinese because it seems not too well made with lines running around the glass and dents here and there from the making without being that old, reading up i see their quality is getting better and better so would this be an older weight!many thanks.

I would not have been surprised if you had a Kosta signature on that. It looks like an early attempt at what became "Bubble Sculptures" (see attached some photos)
Kosta Boda numbers = 97322, 97323, 97354 & WW1096

And a couple more of similar ilk.
Kosta Boda numbers = 96898 & a second 97322. Note particularly the base colour of that second pwt.

Ahh,apologies to Kosta Boda if that is the case ::),in recompence i can only say i picked it up coz i liked it.From the side it looks like it's divided by a thin silver layer, but from above you can see through to the amber and the glass is bright, sadly no sign of a signature and i see what you mean about the amber colour.

The thin silver layer and star marks are actually annealing cracks during or soon after manufacture.
