Hi,
This is a very nice scramble, large, about 3 1/2" wide.
The canes look (to my uneducated eye) like some large Gentile Glass pieces, which might explain the star canes, referencing Star City, West Virginia.
The canes also look like mid century high quality Chinese to me.
My puzzlement is the "ground". I'm not sure what this kind of ground is called, other than white frit, but the way it's drawn up from the base, (kind of a "tornado" shape from the side), doesn't look like what I've seen from either Gentile of Chinese.
Any ideas?

Hi Bob.
I think this one is a puzzle. The canes look to be a bit too crude for Gentile (ones I have seen, anyway), but the more complex are too good for Chinese - certainly mid 20th century Chinese. Also the base looks to be neater than Chinese ones. That said, the white ground is typical Chinese...

In my opinion it is NOT chinese!

Though well rounded, the base does have that semi polished, frosty Chinese look.

I'd have to say Chinese as well.
