Title: Help With A paperweight I Am A Newbie
Post by: theoldredbarn on February 27, 2014, 10:21:01 PM
Hello, i am new to the world of paperweights but am very interested to learn. I have one that i am hoping someone might be able to help me identify. Measures 2 3/4" tall and is 3 1/4" wide. This is done in blue and white with the blue pieces having gold around where they spiral. i am sorry but I do not know the proper terms to describe the way this was made, It does have a smooth polished base.

Highly likely a product of Murano. As to specific maker, that's always tough to determine. It's a pretty weight.

Thanks for the help, I will start doing some research into Murano paperweights. Are there any specific terms i should use to describe this if i decided that i want to sell it?

I would call it a white latticino with scattered blue spiral canes.
