Does anyone know the maker of this pen tray/holder (?) for ID please, stamped Made in England inside at one end, and stamped 3049 at the other.
I have seen what appears to be the same item in a wooden box with inks in the upper part, it would be interesting to know more.

Possibly called Edwardian Office Ink Well Set or Triple Ink Well Set

I've had one of these damn things for years. Cannot get anywhere with it. Thought it might be Bagley with the four digit number, but seems not.
The picture of the wooden box looks interesting, pity there is no more detail.
The only other manufacturer I know that used "MADE IN ENGLAND" was Davidson, but I doubt that they made it, but!!
Sorry not to have been able to help.
Good luck. If I ever find out, I'll update!
Nos.

This type of clear glass pen holder/tray is quite common and can be found on the internet auction sites for very modest sums. This particular one in the wooden holder seems to be a marriage of an unrelated glass tray with the wooden ink holder. I say this appears to be a marriage because the glass holder/tray does not fit into the wooden ink holder very well. The glass tray is too small for the space.

Three years late, but thank you both for the replies! :D
