Hello everyone!
I have a Pewter Decanter. Very lovely piece but do not know anything about it. I guess you call it dimpled in the middle?
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nathan

hi Nathan - roughly circular bottles with a central hole are a shape that go back into the latter part of the C19, although this one is obviously quite modern - and they were known as doughnut or lifebouy decanters.
The stopper seems to sit very low in the neck, which looks unusual, but probably means nothing in particular. You don't mention if this has matching numbers, althought the quality looks reasonable.
Regret I can't help remotely with attribution, other than to suggest possibly Scandinavian - mostly in view of the colour - but really I'm only guessing. Depending on amount of wear it could be 30 - 50 years old.
Sadly I expect you're going to remain in the dark as to maker - but I'd like to be proven wrong. What is the height by the way?
Fingers crossed someone might recognize it.

Skruf, I think.
