I bought this today in the charity shop, only because it was glass with a signature on it, which is one of my new buying criteria. This piece resembles a large bucket and has Ulla Forsell 80 engraved on the base. I've easily managed to find out who she is, but can't seem to find many pieces made by her, and no early ones. She seems to be fairly highly rated with a few items in museums, so I was wondering if this is a fake? One characteristic of the glass is that it rings like a Tibetan bell when tapped, it sounds wonderful. Any ideas as to authenticity would be appreciated. Thanks for taking time to look and read.

I don't remember this particular piece but it looks ok to me. Whereabouts did you find it?

Thanks for your thoughts. I bought it in Oakham, Rutland, England. It only cost £4.25 so it was within budget for me.

We had a Swedish Freeblowers exhibition... Asa Brandt, Ulla Forsell, Anders Wingard, Eva Ullberg, in 1980 in our gallery in Highgate Village, so there is a very good chance that I sold it originally... which is why I said that I didn't remember this particular one. But I have probably handled a few pieces of glass in the interim and can't remember them all, I suppose!
At £4.25 you are laughing all the way to the bank!

I have managed to contact Ulla by email and she has confirmed the piece was by her. Thanks to aa for his input.
