Title: Help I.D signature on Powder dish
Post by: Paul_lower on April 12, 2014, 08:31:38 PM
Hello Ladies and Gents,
Could you help finding unusual signature on a cut glass dish, as sleep deviation looking has taken its toll, markings impressed into glass and very small to see, as in photo one the lid is a embroidered sampler with golden silk underneath sandwiched between two con-caved pieces of glass

Hello Everybody,
I have retaken three photos, one of signature impression, one of sampler lid and underside of lid which could a bit of interest as looks like a gold ring around the circumference holding the glass in place, as never been cleaned and looks as good as new, and not magnetic and not tarnessed through time.
Thanks for input, and have a good day.

Hmmm this one's a bit tricky as the marks are still not too easy to see. Could you perhaps get a clearer shot of them for us? If your camera has a macro setting (usually shown by a wee flower symbol) then that might give better results. If you can then send me a copy of the full size image straight from the camera (without resizing/compressing in any way) I may be able to make it out for you.

Paul recently sent me the image attached which shows the mark a bit better, but it's still a puzzle to me... does anyone recognise it please?
