Hi all,i picked up this green bubbly vase at a boot fair and i've seen such pieces described as W.W Pompeian,it glows is heavy with a nice ring and a polished pontil, but it is a very different to my other Walsh Pompeian piece in many ways and you wouldn't think they were from the same line, the purple piece being much heavier and a very different feel to the glass altogether, sorry i haven't got the relevant books yet so any thoughts gratefully excepted.

I would say it was fine

Is the foot solid or hollow?

no, nothing to fret about. I have a small amber glass that is sort of similar. I've had it for donkey's years, concluded, after a few of them (years) that it is probably contemporary recycled glass.
However it does have a hollow foot, folded from part of the main body.
I just had a little ponder if my modern recycled might be Pompeian. I doubt it! ;)
(I have only recently discovered that a folded foot isn't necessarily what I think of as being a folded foot... why is nothing ever simple? ::) )
